About Joseph Ciganek

I am a lifelong Chestertown native. I grew up on the banks of the Chester River crabbing, fishing and spending every spare minute on the water, and I have a deep respect for why life on the Eastern Shore is so special.

After earning a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Washington College, I attended the University of Baltimore School of Law at night while working full time, graduated cum laude, and clerked for the Honorable Harris P. Murphy of the Circuit Court of Kent County. In 2021 I made the move to practicing real estate full time, and I am now a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Chesapeake in Chestertown.

That background means my clients get a local expert and a careful, detail-minded advocate in one. I help buyers and sellers with waterfront homes, farms, historic houses, land and commercial property across Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot Counties.

Outside of real estate you will find me out with my black lab, playing pickleball and soccer, or racing the historic log canoes on the Chesapeake Bay.
